NOTICE

RESOLUTION IMPOSING RATES FOR 2010/2011 FINANCIAL YEAR

In terms of section 14 of the Municipal Property Rates Act No. 6 of 2004, notice is hereby given that on 27 May 2010, the Council adopted a resolution imposing the under-mentioned rates on rateable property in the municipality with effect 1 July 2010:

Residential properties:              0.005 c/Rand;
Business & Government:           0.01 c/Rand;
Agricultural properties:             0.00125 c/Rand;

The imposition of the above the rates is subject to the application of such exemptions, rebates or reductions as may be applicable to categories of rateable property in terms of the Rates Policy adopted by the Council.

The Camdeboo Municipality invites tenders for:

CONTRACT NO. AUR 27/2010: GRAAFF-REINET: CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW SOLID WASTE FACILITY

The Contract comprises of a new solid waste facility consisting of earth cells and associated infrastructure.

Tenderers must be registered with the CIDB in a 4 CE Class of construction works and have a grading designation equal or higher than that determined in accordance with the sum tendered.  The estimate for the contract is between: R2 000 000 - R4 000 000.

Preferences offered to tenderers who satisfy criteria stated in the Tender Data.

Only tenderers who satisfy the eligibility criteria stated in the Tender Data are eligible to submit tenders.

Documents may be collected from the Town Engineers Office in Graaff-Reinet as from Monday 23 August 2010.

A non-refundable tender deposit of R200-00, payable in cash or by bank guaranteed cheque made out in favour of the Employer is required on collection of the tender documents.

A compulsory clarification meeting will be conducted by the Engineer at the Town Engineer's Office in Graaff-Reinet on 25 August 2010 starting at 12:30.  The meeting will be followed by a site visit.

The closing time for receipt of tenders is 12:00 on Friday 10 September 2010.  Tender documents are to be deposited in the tender box at the Municipal Offices, Church Square in Graaff-Reinet.  Telegraphic, telephonic, telex, facsimilee, e-mail and late tenders will not be accepted.

Tenders may only be submitted on the tender document that is issued.

Requirements for sealing, addressing, delivery, opening and assessment of tenders are stated in the Tender Data.

The Municipality reserves the right not to accept the lowest or any tender and no reason for the acceptance or rejection of any tender will be furnished.
